Jeff Schwantz, Chief Growth Officer at Luma Financial Technology, is responsible for leading the sales, marketing and customer success and driving the company’s growth strategy and well as go-to-market approach. Prior to joining Luma Financial Technology, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at Advisor360 LLC, where he led the sales and marketing team and was responsible for the company’s revenue-generation strategy and execution as well as go-to-market approach. Before Advisor360, he was the global head of Channels & Partnerships, and General Manager and global head of Morningstar’s Advisor Client Experience (ACE) team, responsible for leading the global execution of Morningstar’s software business serving the needs of asset managers, asset owners, broker dealers, registered investment advisers, family offices, bank wealth management organizations, and online brokerage clients. He is a thought leader in the wealth management industry, frequently presenting at industry conferences, executive roundtables, workshops, and seminars.
Schwantz has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to re-joining Morningstar in 2020, Schwantz was head of eMoney’s Enterprise Services team, responsible for enterprise sales, relationship management, strategic partnerships, and marketing across eMoney’s financial planning solutions targeted at enterprise wealth management organizations and retirement plan providers. Schwantz led a national team of seasoned sales and relationship management professionals, focused on elevating the investment advice ecosystem by delivering eMoney’s financial planning solutions. Prior to joining eMoney in 2017, he was head of Client Solutions at Morningstar, responsible for leading the global execution of strategic sales, marketing, and client experience across Morningstar’s customer solutions in North America. Before Morningstar in 2015, he was a director and senior relationship manager for Pershing LLC’s global client relationships team, where he was responsible for business development and led a nationwide team of Relationship Managers. Before Pershing, Schwantz was a relationship manager for Allstate Financial, in both the retail and institutional asset management segments, holding positions in business development, operations, and distribution technology. Prior to Allstate, he worked as a sales manager at Wells Fargo.
Schwantz holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where he was also a four-year student athlete (Football). Schwantz also holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Northern Illinois University’s Graduate School of Business. He was a contributor to and featured in the book Five Keys to Powerful Business Relationships.
