Gim joined Luma Financial Technologies in 2023 as the Director of Finance and Operations where he is responsible for managing the firm’s operations and driving the execution of the company’s global strategic initiatives.  

Prior to joining Luma, Gim was an Executive Director of strategic investments at Morgan Stanley where he managed the bank’s numerous investments in fintech and trading platforms, including leading a bank consortium group in the founding, formation and funding of Luma in 2018.  As a representative of Morgan Stanley, Gim has served on the board of numerous investment companies as a board observer, such as Luma, BIDS, Symphony, Equilend and many other financial platforms.   

Prior to Morgan Stanley, Gim held a number of strategic planning and corporate development roles at various financial institutions and start-ups.  Gim holds an MBA from Columbia University with a concentration in finance and a BA from Dartmouth College with a double major in Economics and Biochemistry.
